Pat Schaverien was born in 1951 in Ealing, London. She studied Fine Art at Middlesex Polytechnic and Hornsey School of Art, then Printmaking at the Slade School of Fine Art and described herself as having been ‘fascinated by the process ever since’; she went on to set up a printmaking studio in Clerkenwell, producing etchings and aquatints.
